When I was 5 years old, Carol Burnett came on the air. For the next 11 years, she brought laughter, hilarity and the joy of comedy into my life. I learned how to have a sense of humor because of Carol, Harvey, Tim & Vicky.
I learned that the biggest kick I can get is to make someone else laugh and to laugh myself.
It has astonished me, that I have gotten to be this old, and have not made this my career. I love it so much.
In the right circumstances, I have the power to be wickedly funny. It's how I look at things. And think about things. And organized correctly....funny stuff can flow out of my mouth! Sometimes it's just being with the right person that makes me funny.
So, now, at age 55, 50 years after Carol first came on the air, I am creating an intention to be who I was intended to be....a comedienne!
In all I do...with everyone I meet...I will be a comedienne.
I will not ever worry about becoming famous or making money. But, this will be the essence of who I am from now on. No more trying to figure me out. It doesn't matter what job I have. or what project I'm working on.... I'll be a comedienne doing something else.
